went for softskill this week... one on saturday which is "presentation skills" n the other was on Sunday which is "thinking out of the box"...
let me start of with the "presentation skills" session .... it was conducted by
MS KAY WONG ... who has a long list of experience n professionalism.... she tot us how to convey our message, wat we are presenting, how to overcome nerves n also, gave us some advice on our weaknesses....

1st of all, she separate us into groups of 5 to present any topic we want within the group for 2 minutes each.... we each presented n commented on our frenz weaknesses n strenghts.... after that, we were splited again into different groups of 8-9 to present on "something we strongly believe in"... for example, "i strongly believe that human should not eat DogzZz" ...
*FYI, i did not write this topic* teehee, instead, i talked bout how family is very important in my life.. :D anyways in the end, Ms Kay selected 2 participants to present in front of every1....
*supposally every1 should present, but then time was running out ...* anyways, DAMN, i was one of the chosen one... presented my part, n i realize my heart was beating so fast...!! uh lala, after presenting, Ms Kay n some of the other participants gave me some pointers on my weak part n where to improve on... phew, though it was frightening, i gues i made it through, n at least i learn something out of my mistakes...!! yipee...!! had a great n tiring time..~

On sunday, the so called
CAPTAIN ARIVA conducted the "thinking out of the box" session .... he is
SO TALL, n
FUNNY....!!!! listening to him
NEVER gets boring, n he has so many expressions..!! lol, damn funny ler.... no kidding man this captain ariva is a true captain, as in the ship captain u kno...?? he said he travelled all around the word for years n is now a very succesful n wealthy man in the world....!!
beginning we had some ice breaking games which was so fun ...!! enjoyed myself so so much ... after that he gave us some group activity .... many of his activities were to teach us to cooperate among group members, n mainly to think of creative ways to solve a problem..... oh n peeps remember this,
"creativity is NOT a talent, it is a SKILL that can be developed ...!!"

anyways, our last activity was to create a house as tall as captain's shirt pocket, with 4 storeys (one storey each group) to be stacked on top of each other....also, there should be 2 lifts, n one elivator to connect to each floor *cooperation needed"... n we can only do it with straws, chopsticks, A4 paper n a big board for a base....*creativity comes in* heres the catch, he gave us some poker cards used as money, n we r suppose to buy those stuffs using watever money we hav, which is definately NOT enuf....*need some planning n power of persuation here to buy frm the seller a.k.a CAptain*

i had such a great time especially with my group members, laughing n freaking out for time is running out n our house looked kindda *ehem* "pathetic"... haha, anyways it turned out to be great, n we managed to stack all 4 floors up wit much effort frm some ppl ther who did the most supporting the base.... *big applause for them*
